Speaker: Mark Millet
Mississippi artist Mark Millet has been chronicling vanishing southern scenes for over twenty years. His oil paintings and watercolor paintings are sought after by art collectors worldwide. Millet's limited edition prints depict diners, drive-ins and dives past and present and his latest artwork in the patina and abstract sphere are incredible.
Millet has won a variety of regional art contests. His art is a component of private collections all over the country and even as far as Paris, France. He has also completed work for many large corporations such as McDonald's and Raytheon Aerospace, as well as Municipalities.
Mark works in oils, acrylic, and watercolors. He has taught many art workshops at local schools, ranging from first graders to junior college students, as well as adult art classes on Monday and Tuesday nights at his studio in Ridgeland, MS. Millet has taught aboard the Carnival Cruise Line Conquest and his Canton Academy art students have won top honors at statewide Scholastics Awards for four years.
